African Lion – The Visage

The Visage

Concealed and covert, obscure it sat
Waiting, waiting stayed the stealthy cat
For if its quarry did pass by
So carefully would watch those eyes
The shrouded predatory face
Does glare from such an abstruse place
And if the moment does evolve
Whereby all safety quick dissolves
Then from hidden grass the visage
Quick becomes a chilling image.
