Black-browed Albatross – A Ritual

A Ritual

Throughout the Black-browed Albatross colony a constant din of activity took place.  Here a twosome performed an act that at first glance appeared to be aggressive, almost like a pair of fencers crossing swords.  In reality, the act was a part of a ritual designed to strengthen the pair bond between the participants.
