Northern Hawk Owl – The Killer

Northern Hawk Owl

The Killer

The Northern Hawk Owl rested on a tree limb
Its journey from the taiga had been arduous
The killer inside was famished
Sharp orbs gleaned grassy topography
They searched for furtive movements
There!
The attack came cloaked in deadly silence
The taloned grasp brought death swiftly
And then it was back to the tree to dine
