Northern Flicker – In A Hurry In The Flurry

Northern Flicker

In A Hurry In The Flurry

During the recent heavy snowstorm, this Northern Flicker [a member of the Woodpecker clan], was caught at the feeding tray. Diligently digging in the deep white mantle with its prominent beak didn’t produce anything in the line of fare. The fruitless search seemed only to frustrate the creature.

He was in a hurry in the flurry
But found the fare wasn’t there

Hope your holiday meal works out better than his. BTW, he did eventually get a meal after the “peanut fairy” cleaned off the snow and replenished the store 😉

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all our family and friends.
